Gold & Company’s president Debra Gold is a 28-year marketing and public relations veteran. Widely known for her expertise in the area of merchandise and demographic trends in the gift, stationery and home and garden decor industries, Ms. Gold served as a national editor for Giftware News, a leading trade publication, having contributed over 100 feature articles on business and product directions. In addition, as founder/director of the S.M.A.R.T. Seminars Program for the California and Atlanta Gift Shows, Ms. Gold developed over 500 professional educational programs for these major bi-annual trade shows.

Ms. Gold has also been extensively quoted on industry trends in publications including Gifts & Decorative Accessories, The Los Angeles Times, Accessory Merchandising, InStyle, Greetings Etc., Museums & More, Giftware News and The New York Times. Her views on industry directions feature prominently in two recent internationally published books: Launch It! – How To Turn Good Ideas Into Great Products That Sell and A Shopkeeper’s Manual.

A frequent guest lecturer on entrepreneurial public relations at the University of California Los Angeles, Ms. Gold also serves on the Board of Directors for Gift for Life, the gift and home industries leading charitable organization, dedicated to raising funds for DIFFA - Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS. Her accomplishments have been recognized in Who's Who in Entrepreneurial Women.
